Economics today is a global issue. Companies are international, markets overlap, and decisions taken by companies, governments, or even an individual can cause financial shockwaves around the world. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to become a decision maker in the future? Would you like to work in management, finance, development or as an entrepreneur on an international scale? With four distinct study tracks specialising in different areas of interest, the Master’s programme in International Economics and Business at Utrecht University School of Economics (USE) is the perfect place to kick off your career.
Choice of specialisations

International Economics and Business is a unique programme. It teaches students both specific skills of business economics and the broader knowledge of economics, and sets this learning in an integrated context. During the year you tackle economic issues such as strategic new business ventures, worldwide income distribution and financial management. At the same time you will discuss budgets, trade, migration, and the way that businesses and finance overlap with other social sciences. You learn through a mix of theory and case studies, handle real-world data from different firms and financial markets, build up links with professional organisations, and hone your skills in research and analysis. You also have the freedom to focus on subjects that are of most interest to you by choosing one of the following study tracks:

Track 1: International Management
Track 2: International Financial Economics
Track 3: International Ventures and Entrepreneurship
Track 4: Globalisation and Development
