The MA in Material Culture and the Environment provides the opportunity to understand of the social and economic character and circumstances of the Highlands and Islands through their material culture and folklore. It will also explore new concepts for land-use, conservation and sustainable development.

Features of the course included: periods of field-study, strong links with local communities, national and local museums and agencies and opportunities for continuing professional development.

Graduates will be equipped to fill employment opportunities existing within the heritage and museums sector, the public sector, development agencies, voluntary and non-governmental organisations.
