About the course

The MScBM Programme is a career-oriented generalist Master’s programme for fresh graduates/graduates with relatively little post-graduation working experience. We prepare students for their future careers by serving as the gateway to the global corporate world.

As a programme blending international elements of corporate strategies, MScBM aims at equipping students with the best practices among corporates of both the East and the West. Students will learn to excel in their career with a global and ethical mindset, bearing the importance of corporate sustainability and social responsibility.

Entry Requirements

(a) A bachelor's degree from a recognised university or comparable institution; or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent;
(b) English proficiency (If English was not the medium of instruction for the first degree, applicants are required to provide evidence of English proficiency, e.g. a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (internet-based) or IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or qualifications deemed to be equivalent);
(c) A satisfactory performance in the admissions interview; and
(d) GMAT is not required but highly encouraged.
Applicants should submit a personal statement of not more than 500 words and supply two referees.

Fees

(1) Non-local students: HKD$ 258,000
(2) Local students: HKD$ 198,000
Note: Tuition fees are subject to annual review.

This scholarship is attributed to new entrants who can enhance the diversity of the programme based on criteria like their international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievement and talents.

Value of Scholarship(s)

From HKD$ 50,000 to full tuition fee waiver

Eligibility

All new entrants will be considered for this scholarship. A separate application for this scholarship is not required.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Submit the online application before application deadlines (Competition increases as the year progresses, so we recommend starting your application early).
Step 2: Pay a non-refundable application fee of HKD$450.
Step 3: All new entrants will be considered for the this scholarship based on the following criteria: international exposure, cultural experiences, overseas education, work experience, special achievement and talents. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an admission interview. The University will select qualified students and inform the selected students of the scholarship awards in due course. A separate application for this scholarship is not required.

The International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS) scheme at the HKBU School of Business is a global initiative designed to nurture future business leaders, bringing together highly-talented and intellectually-motivated students from around the world to one of our selected taught postgraduate programmes. Although these young achievers come from diverse backgrounds, they have all demonstrated leadership potential and have a common interest in making a difference in the word.

Scholarship recipients will get full tuition fee waiver PLUS living allowance of approx. USD 12,800.

Eligibility

(1) International applicants with nationality outside of Greater China
(2) Applying to the full-time (1 Year) MSc in Business Management programme
(3) Meeting the programme admission requirements
(4) Demonstrating competitive academic performance and/or professional experience
(5) Willingness to serve the School in its internationalisation and student related projects for not more than 5 hours per week during the period of study

Step 2: Pay a non-refundable application fee of HKD$450.
Step 3: All the prospective students with nationality outside of Greater China will be considered for the qualification of the International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS) or other scholarships simultaneously. Shortlisted applications will be invited for an interview. The University will select qualified students and inform the selected students of the scholarship awards in due course. Therefore, a separate application for a scholarship is not required.
