About the course

The MA in Anthropology is an advanced degree in socio-cultural anthropology in which students are given a sophisticated introduction to the theoretical underpinnings of the discipline, a block of modules that open up and explore the conceptual and methodological core of the discipline, and a series of specialized modules that show the range of socio-cultural anthropology today. These postgraduate scholarships for Masters study are funded with the support of the Alumni Affinity Card and provide graduates of Maynooth University (including the graduating class of 2018) with a €5,000 scholarship towards fees for a full-time Taught Master's programme at Maynooth University.

Eligibility

Applicants must intend to pursue a
full-time Taught Master’s degree at the University commencing meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. A minimum overall result of 65% in an Honours Bachelor’s degree from
Maynooth University. Applicants should apply before they receive
their exam results.
2. Satisfy the entry requirements of the Maynooth University Taught Master’s
Programme they intend to undertake.

The scholarship is not open to those who have already commenced or have previously
undertaken a Master’s programme.

A minimum 65% honours level 8 undergraduate degree result and a personal statement is required.
