This distinctive course focuses on two of the most dynamic management sectors of the travel and tourism industry; airlines and airports. It is located within a few miles of Heathrow, the world’s busiest international airport, and offers students an excellent combination of academic learning and practical, industry focused study leading to global aviation employment opportunities.

The course takes a strategic perspective emphasising the application of business and management theory and developing key ideas and concepts appropriate to the commercial aviation industry. It uses case studies and explores topical issues extensively to illustrate new ideas, concepts and trends within the industry.

The course covers a range of modules, including:
- Globalisation and Global Challenges
- Management and Leadership
- Electronic Distribution in Tourism and Hospitality
- Strategic Choice in Aviation Management
- Critical Issues in Airline and Airport Management.

On completion of the PgDip, suitably qualified students will study a Research Methods module, which will support the production of a research proposal and a thesis. Students who complete these elements will be awarded a Masters qualification. Transfer onto the MA is not automatic and will depend on the students’ performance on the PgDip, together with an assessment of academic potential.

The course is delivered at our West London campus, and can be taken either full or part-time.

Visit the MA Airline and Airport Management with internship page on the University of West London web site for more details!
