The MSc Neurorehabilitation programme started in 2008. Since then it has evolved, with the aim of developing physiotherapy or occupational therapy practitioners capable of working at specialist level within their field of either adult or paediatric rehabilitation

The course is structured on a modular format. Students complete the generic module Research Methods in Health and Social Care and two further compulsory modules, Neuroscience of human movement and dysfunction (HCT240) and Neurological rehabilitation - a theoretical basis (HCT042). The remaining 40 credits are selected from the available optional modules.

Students who proceed to successful completion of a research project and subsequent dissertation will be eligible for the award of a Master of Science degree.

The course offers knowledge and expertise to increase students’ practical and theoretical knowledge of neurorehabilitation and develop their evaluative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These skills will serve to enhance the professions as a whole and improve client care.

The next intake for this course will be September 2015/16.
