Student Profile

Sampada Moholkar

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Mumbai, India. I wanted to continue my studies in this field which lead me to search for courses abroad. After researching many universities, I came across the Masters degree in Child Psychology at NTU and I found it to be one of the few universities that teaches a Masters degree in Child Psychology.

Coming to NTU was my first international trip so I was very nervous before coming here. The UK is a wonderful country and Nottingham is an amazing city with lots of friendly and helpful people.

The modules are great as they cover everything, focusing on overall child development and the current issues related to this subject area.

I use the NTU Online Workspace (NOW) a lot. Every single piece of work on my course is done on NOW, from studying, finding research papers to submitting assignments and projects. I am also able to access course material in advance of my seminars and lectures. Through the use of NOW my tutors are able to respond quickly to my emails and provide me with the support and advice I need to successfully complete the MSc.

Coming to the UK and studying at NTU is a big achievement in itself. My course has allowed me to gain knowledge that will definitely help me to build my career in psychology.

The next step for me is to gain some work experience in this field as an assistant psychologist and later on, apply for a PhD.
