What’s it like to study a Masters in Bristol?

Postgraduate students in Bristol benefit from the range of opportunities and experiences offered by one of England’s largest regional cities. You’ll be able to check out a music scene that has produced internationally renowned acts including Tricky, Roni Size and Massive Attack as well as visit some of the famous venues they’ve played at.

Bristol is also the site of numerous works by the acclaimed – and anonymous – ‘local’ street artist, Banksy, so you can look forward to telling friends and family you’ve (probably) bumped into him. Other popular attractions in Bristol include one of the world’s oldest zoos (and rare species breeding centres) as well as a large modern shopping centre.

The iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, opened in 1864, is one of Bristol’s most recognised landmarks, spanning the Avon Gorge. Based on designs by the ground-breaking engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, it’s one of the oldest bridges of its kind in the world. Brunel also designed the SS Great Britain, the largest sea vessel in the world when it was completed in 1845. Today, the SS Great Britain is a museum ship docked in Bristol and a popular tourist attraction.
