Swiss Masters degrees usually take between one and a half and two years. The academic year in Switzerland runs between September and June.
How much does it cost to study a Masters in Switzerland?
Fees for Swiss Masters degrees can vary between courses and institutions, but are usually somewhere between CHF 1000 and CHF 4000 (€862 to €3,448) per year . Students from outside the EU and EEA will sometimes pay fees at a slightly higher rate.
Are Swiss Masters degrees taught in English?
There are three 'local' teaching languages in Switzerland. Institutions in the west of Switzerland tend to teach in French, those in the South (near the Italian border) teach in Italian and the remainder teach in German. Courses in English are also offered at some universities.
Will I need a visa to study a Masters in Switzerland?
Though Switzerland is not part of the EU or the EEA it usually admits students from these countries without a visa. Other international students should check with their prospective university and / or a Swiss embassy in their home country.
